Campers will spend their day using their imaginations to explore, create, build, and learn all about nature, the living worlds, animals and science. The Explore Nature program is partnered with Pawsitively Pets, and children will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of their animals each day. The summer camp program will provide campers with opportunities to develop outdoor skills, leadership skills, problem-solving cooperation, mindfulness and empathy for the world around them. Camp staff will follow the children's lead while providing a safe, engaging program that nurtures a child's enthusiasm to explore the outdoors.
Explore Nature camp is focused on spending the majority of the day outside exploring. Daily programming may include: endless outdoor fun, finding animal tracks, shelter building, stream and pond studies, orienteering, archery, fishing, nature crafts, studying food chains, plant identification, building animal habitats, bug catching, bird feeding and some end of day fun engaging with the Pawsitively Pets animals and much more!
